A preview of what we'll be working on....

As you know, we have been working hard to support the Chavez family. Many of you have given donations, and we are planning to spend at least one day doing some repairs and construction on their new home. Yesterday, Kevin Miller posted an update and some pictures of the family in front of their new home. It's very exciting to think about how we will be able to be involved and help this wonderful family!

You can see that Kevin lists the expenses and asks for donations. Our team has already committed $1,000 to this project, which is a result of donations and a Grove City Christian School fundraiser.

Heidi's House   The Chavez family now owns a house.  This house meets most of our expectations, but needs a lot of work as you can see.     The really great news is that an amazing friend of ours (and theirs) bought the house for them. In addition to this, some of you have generously given so we can almost complete the roof.  Here are a list of things this house needs in order of priority.   New Tin Roof            $ 2,440.00   Bedroom walls          $    600.00   Metal doors              $    520.00   Electircal Wiring         $    350.00   2 interior walls          $    480.00   Plumbing                   $    200.00   Concrete floors         $    600.00   Tile floor                    $    650.00   Stucco on the walls    $    480.00   This comes to a total of   $  6,320.00      We would love to be able to help them with some basic furnishings after they move in.   The Chavez family in what will be their new bedrooms.
